Privacy
Privacy, in plain words.
This site collects very little. Here is all of it.
Visits
Google Analytics counts visits to this site and shows me which pages people read. It uses cookies to tell a new visit from a returning one. What I see are totals, not who you are. You can block it in your browser’s privacy settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on.
Cloudflare, which delivers the site, also counts visits and measures how quickly pages load; that counting uses no cookies. To keep automated traffic out, Cloudflare may also set one security cookie of its own (cf_clearance), which can last up to a year. Neither follows you from one site to another.
If something on a page breaks the site’s security rules, your browser may send the site a short technical note: which rule, which file and which page. It’s used only to keep the site working, and nothing that identifies you is kept.
The contact form
When you send a message, what you type comes to me by email: your name, your email address, your message and any details you add. I use it to reply to you. I don’t sell it or pass it on.
The form sets one cookie, which protects it from forged messages. Your browser deletes it when you close it.
Fonts
The typefaces come from Adobe Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Adobe’s servers, which see your IP address the way any website does. The icons are part of this site, so they don’t come from anywhere else.
What your browser remembers
For the length of your visit, your browser keeps a few small notes for this site, such as whether the monogram has already drawn itself. They never leave your browser, and they’re cleared when you close the tab.
The one note kept longer is which edition you’re reading, Norse or Celtic: your browser remembers it until you clear this site’s data. When you switch editions, Google Analytics counts the switch.
Other websites
Links to the shops, the KeeperSuite apps and social sites take you to websites with their own privacy policies.
