Brixon Web Services — Brian Brixon

Websites for kennel clubs, breed associations and the dog world.

I design, build and look after hand-coded websites for clubs, breeders and small organizations, and I keep them running for years. You deal with me from the first call to the hundredth update.

Who it’s for

Built for the dog world, and its neighbors

  • Kennel and breed clubs

Shows and events, registration forms and member news.

  • Breeders

A home for your dogs, your litters and your story.

  • Pet businesses

Clear services, hours and contact details for kennels, groomers and trainers.

  • Community groups

For HOAs and local organizations: documents, announcements and contacts in one place.

What I do

From a first site to years of care

New sites

Designed around your club or business and hand-coded from scratch, so it’s fast, easy to read on a phone and entirely yours.

Website care

Updates, security, backups and small changes, handled by the person who built the site.

Security rescue

Auditing and hardening older sites and their forms, like the work I did for the Rocky Mountain Hound Association.

Online registration and payments

Event and vendor registration with PayPal or Stripe checkout, so your club never handles card data.

How a project runs

Five steps, and the last one doesn’t end

  1. Discovery

We talk about what your organization actually needs, and I look at what you have now.

  2. Design

A clean look that fits your club or brand, shown to you before anything is built.

  3. Build

Hand-coded in PHP, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap, so you own every line.

  4. Launch

Tested on phones, tablets and computers before it goes live.

  5. Care

Updates and security, year after year.

Pricing

Every project gets a written quote.

Tell me what you have now and what you need, and I’ll write up what it takes and what it costs before any work starts. I invoice through QuickBooks, and PayPal works too.

Questions

Straight answers

Yes. You own the domain, the code and the content. If we ever part ways, you get every file and I help move it wherever you like.

I can host it for you and look after the server side too, as I do for Prairie Vista Meadows. If you already have a host you like, I can build for that instead.

Most clients send me their changes and I make them. If there are pages you’d rather edit yourself, tell me which ones and we’ll plan for that from the start.

Because a hand-coded site has no plugins to update, no page-builder fees and far less to break or hack. It loads fast and it stays yours.

It depends on the size of the site and how quickly the words and pictures come together. Your written quote includes a timeline, so you know before we start.

Your site is plain PHP, HTML and CSS that any web developer can pick up, and you already own every file. I’d help hand it over properly.

Working on something similar?

Tell me what you have in mind. I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right fit.
